What better way to round off the year, and start a fresh sparkly new one, than with a glittering party. Combine that with the marriage of a delightful couple in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside… what better way to spend your New Year’s Eve?
At the family’s farm, just outside Bristol, we met with the couple almost 12 months to the day that the event would take place, to start the planning process. The bride and groom had a clear brief but were also open to ideas that we could offer using our experience and design knowledge of a winter venue. We created a classically clean marquee interior within a 15m frame and the couple provided twisted willow and an abundance of fairy lights to create a magical garden feel to the marquee, with a reception space containing our LED semi-circle bar. Utilising a willow arch to the dining area, our large trestles were arranged allowing guest plenty of room to mingle.
We erected two flower rings which were covered with foliage, which brought some winter greenery inside. Utilising the solid wall option, we created a warm venue for the guests to gather and celebrate. The wonderful Pieminster provided a sumptuous and warming feast for the revellers.
Once the sun had set on 2016 for the final time, the marquee came alive with twinkling lights, pinspots focused on each dining table and a starlight ivory ceiling over the dancefloor area. A wonderful beginning to 2017.
