Weddings Re-allowed

A small but perfectly formed marquee wedding

Let’s kick off our new series of blogs with an absolute belter from May 2021. The world was becoming a better place and weddings were finally re-allowed. Being one of the first back when we could, it was an absolute privilege to be involved in this families’ marquee wedding. These were some of the freshest images we’d received in well over a year and the excitement in the office was palpable.

The Build

The small marquee was built over a freshly poured and polished concrete slab.  This combined with the unlined marquee to create an industrial feeling. Set in the rolling Herefordshire countryside, a beautiful and unique juxtaposition was achieved.  The family provided some quintessentially British furnishings to elevate the style.

We installed clear PVC roof sections and panoramic window walls throughout which meant the mid-Spring light could flood in. One long dining table was assembled which allowed all the guests to be sat around it.   Green and white foliage, flowers and candles sat upon the table, basking in the sun. Throughout the roof space pealights were strung which looked simply glorious once the sun set.  This was a very simple set up but the results far outweigh the simplicity don’t you think?
