Split Level Marquee in Worcestershire

The rationale behind building a split-level marquee (a marquee with at least two different levels) can vary. One reason is that the marquee site is on a slope. To negate that slope and to create a level floor to a marquee, we construct a set of steps, always with handrail, and a raised scaffold floor. A second reason for a split-level marquee is simply that the client wants different and clearly defined levels in their marquee and thereby creating the ultimate wow factor. This might be for the dance area or the dining space.

This example was determined by the sloping field which allowed us, not only to correct the slope, but also to use it to our advantage to create the different levels. Guests entered this marquee at ground level, through a 6m Chinese Hat and into the top deck which accommodated the bar and dancefloor area. Guests then descended our bespoke steps, complete with handrail, into the dining area which was several feet off the ground. Guard rails and kick boards were installed around the perimeter of the marquee to create an extra boundary to the structure. Our bespoke LED balustrade created an obvious barrier between the top and bottom decks, not only creating zones to the marquee but keeping all the guests safe.
