During an incredibly wintry December, on a sloping, wet site, we built a marquee around a VW van.
The repurposed unit by Beetle Juice Cocktail Bar was one of the centre pieces of the marquee. A scaffold sub-frame floor was built around the VW bar unit to create an even base for the marquee. Our client requested flat wall and ceiling linings which once installed looked extremely smart. As natural light was quickly lost, pinspots to each table were installed. Strings of black festoon lights were fitted throughout the ceiling with coordinating light pendants. The set up was very simple, but the results were simply stunning. The combination of our cross-back chairs, rustic bar units, flat linings and festoon lighting created a cohesive look which looked stunning when the light started to fade. Simple foliage for decorations finished the look wonderfully. Mistletoe balls and holly hearts created by the floristry team, were added to create this gorgeous and unique wedding marquee.
Of course because of the time of the year, heating was a must have. Our bespoke heating cabinets, designed to blend into the marquee design, distributed the warmth around the marquee keeping guests warm and comfortable. The toilet unit was built into its own marquee at floor level which created a seamless entry point.
Our 30” mirror ball over the parquet dancefloor completed the look and was as ever, well used by our wonderful guests.
