Charity Ball in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital
At the start of this year we were delighted to be asked to help a local family and great friends of Good Intents, raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. A fabulous auction and raffle raised over £75,000, and the money raised will be used to fund either a PhD research project or national project to promote organ donation.
The event was held near Ross on Wye in late June, at a family home with the perfect site for a huge marquee totaling over 50m in length. The whole structure was built on 3m legs which always allows for a light and airy atmosphere, and fun pompoms and bunting were strewn around the ceiling. We utilized a clear roofed entrance to the reception marquee, which housed a LED circular bar which came into its own as the sun set, and poseur tables. A starlight ceiling and mirror ball set over the black and white dancefloor looked amazing. The dining area of the marquee was then set with 4ft wide tables in long runs
With fantastic support for the event, over 330 guests gathered in the marquee with some excellent food and drink from our great friends at A2Zest. The quirky addition of animal troughs along the tables made for excellent wine chillers!
Once the serious business of raising large amount of cash was complete, guests let their hair down to the live band and danced the night away. We know the guests enjoyed the evening and it was a great way to help a very worthy cause.
